Drama is a vital skillset that helps strengthen self-expression and communication. The aim of our drama classes is to encourage students to express themselves in a safe but fun environment.

Our acting classes encompass various aspects of stage craft. At Masquerade, students learn how to increase their ability to communicate verbally, physically and to think imaginatively.

Drama games are used as warm ups to stimulate the mind and focus the students’ frame of thought. Students learn improvisation, which helps develop imagination as well as being a key skill for any actor. Devising drama offers students the opportunity to create their own pieces by collaborative means. Finally, scripts are studied by all students and selected scenes are learnt, developed and performed. At Masquerade students study a wide range of repertoire from Shakespearian sonnets and monologues to modern scripts from TV, Film, Theatre and Musicals.
